Background Information

Abraham Lincoln was the first Republican President and led the Union during the Civil War. John Wilkes Booth would be scarce remembered for his modest acting career but earned undying infamy by his assassination of Abraham Lincoln. Ford's Theater, where Abraham Lincoln was shot by John Wilkes Booth, was renovated in the 1960's and now produces shows as well as serving as a museum.
