Background Information
John Wilkes Booth would be scarce remembered for his modest acting career but earned undying infamy by his assassination of Abraham Lincoln. Ford's Theater, where Abraham Lincoln was shot by John Wilkes Booth, was renovated in the 1960's and now produces shows as well as serving as a museum. Besides the successful assassinations of Lincoln, Garfield, McKinley and Kennedy, there have been many attempts.
